Chai Masala

Chai Masala

A cardamom-led warming blend rooted in India's chaiwallah tradition, where black tea is simmered with milk and aromatic spices. Green cardamom carries the fragrance while black pepper, ginger, cinnamon and clove build the signature warming zing. Simmer a spoonful with tea and milk for classic masala chai, or stir into steamed milk and lattes for a fragrant, café-style cup.

Questions

Is chai masala the same as tea masala?
Yes. Chai masala and tea masala are two names for the same spice blend used to flavour masala chai. Chai is simply the Hindi word for tea, so both terms describe the warming spice mix you simmer with tea and milk.
Does it contain any tea leaves?
No. This is a pure spice blend with no tea and no added sugar, so you control the strength and sweetness. Simmer it with your own black tea and milk, or add it to lattes and bakes.
How much should I use per cup?
Start with a quarter to half a teaspoon per cup, simmered with tea and milk, then adjust to taste. The cardamom-forward profile blooms with a few minutes of gentle simmering.
